Explore designs and woods
Locally sourced or imported woods provide a huge posibility of combinations and sounding characteristics. Many wood types are available in the workshop for you to learn from

Learn about the tools
Learn about the tools for guitar making, the essentials and the highly specialised. Bring your tools and learn how to tune them for the different tasks or I have the tools in the shop that you can use.

Using a Guitar Kit
Guitar kits will be available. These kits can be purchased to help the beginners by providing ready to use woods and parts and they are an exellent way to learn.

Make every part
Once you feel ready you can learn how top make, shape and tune every single part of your guitar, the challlenges are greater but the reward and skills learnt will be invaluable.

Finishing your Instrument
There are several ways to finish your instrument that will depend on your choice of materials and dificulty. French Polishing is the preferred fisnich for high end guitars and it is an art in intself.

Maintenance and Care
You will learn how to maintain your instrument and how to keep it sounding and looking at its best.

You can make ‘the one instrument” as an heirloom piece or if you would like to make several guitars I can show you from my own experience how to plan it, how to make jigs, molds and templates to expedite the process.
Hand-made Intruments
The magic is in the process and the results are always unique. Even using woods from the same tree and same design will produce different sounding guitars. You can spend years refining and searching for a specific sound and each guitar takes you not only to a new level of expertise but it will develop an intuition necessary to achieve a masterpiece.
